"perfect location, right on the piste. a short walk to an excellent restaurant. the appartment is cosy, and just right for a small family. skiing was great, with a lot of variety. friendly and warm service from everyone, from lift operators to waitresses. we were there out of season, and it was very peaceful. i think it could be too hectic for us when the rush is on. the sound insulation in the building is poor, so you hear a lot of noise from some neighbours. however, we will definitely stay there again - out of season!"

the beautiful location, excellent skiing facilities, fireplace in the appartment, the peacefulness. you can ski in/out from this appartment, with the piste under your windows. |

the cleaning charges are high, for such a small appartment. this elevates the total price from good value to a bit expensive for what it offers, since it is very simple and could do with a bit of re-furbishment. |

superb for skiing. plenty of ski schools. good access to the entire region, via the lift, train and bus transport system, although you are on the far end. there are many charming ski huts and restaurants. we were impressed by the friendly service everywhere. |

i don't think any supermarket or shop was open, in alpes des chaux. we drove to Villars, or skiied to La Barboleuse. the restaurant owner also takes orders for groceries, and fresh bread., Restaurant |

Australian-run, with innovative sandwiches (truly delicious), coffee, muffins etc. good value, quick eats, and you know it must be good as it's crammed with ski instructors at lunch time. |
