"We were two families - 4 adults and 6 kids, and rented this apartment for a week in August. The location in Disentis is good, close to the cable car that can be used for reaching hiking trails in the summer and ski in winter. The apartment's design has many flaws that made it inconvenient. First of all, the supposed 10 beds were dispersed in a lousy way. One couple had a room all for itself, while the other had to share it with 3 children (1 baby crib and two beds). The other three kids had to sleep in what can only be described as a storage space below the slanted roof. The access to this room was only through one of the two toilets, which really complicated things: if the kids wanted to get out of their room, they had to make sure that no one is using the toilet...
The couple who maintain the apartment for the owners are nice but we got some misleading information from them. We were told for example that bed linen and towels were available (despite the fact that this was not so officially on the booking.com site), but arrived to find no towels and mediocre bed linen. Try finding towels in Disentis, that's a big problem!
The apartment has floor carpets throughout (except showers and kitchen) which is a problem with small kids or allergic people. The kitchen was fantastically equipped and there was a lot of food left over from previous renters. We had a great time hiking and enjoying the area, but the apartment was functional at best, and not very cheap. The fact that it is probably used by the owners themselves means that the flat is full with family photos etc. which makes you feel slightly intruding.
One great advantage of the apartment is that we rented it Thursday to Thursday - in Switzerland most apartments are only Sat-Sat."

"Wir hatten gelungene Ferien in dieser grossen, gut eingerichteten Wohnung. Die Lage ist auch für Sommerferien ideal, aber sicher auch im Winter hervorragend."
